TASK 3 - Evaluation of my music video...

The genre I have chosen to base my music video on is R&B, because this is the type of music I enjoy listening to and the music videos I like to watch. The song I have chosen is a Leona Lewis song and it’s called “Yesterday”, it’s a slow song and is about a girl who has lost a person very close to her. What the song is saying is that although her loved one has been taken from her the memories and the good times they had shared will always be with her, and how she wishes she could see that person once more but she knows she will see them one day.

My video is going to be telling the story of the song, where the girl has lost her boyfriend, she is grieving for him and remembering the good times that she spent with him, the majority of the actual music video will be “memories” which fits in with the name of the song, and then it will cut back to the girl again. The music video will be slow paced as it is R&B and flow with the rhythm of the music.
All the footage I will use will be my own but I may use found footage to emphasize an accident which is to do with the story for the music video.

The purpose of this music video is to tell the story of this song because it is a song I think that most people can relate to, as it is about someone loosing someone close to them and that although they have taken that special person they cant take away all the memories that they will have with them for the rest of their life and no one can replace this person, and the lyrics are really meaningful and beautiful.
